This article provides sample student portfolios that meet Utah Fits All portfolio requirements. These examples are provided as guidance only. You do not need to follow these formats exactly. You may use them as a reference when creating your own portfolio, as long as your submission meets current program requirements.
Please note:
- Only one item is needed to satisfy the requirement.
- You can submit a portfolio or an exam.
Examples of artifacts that will meet the portfolio requirements include:
• Work samples
• Learning summaries
• Progress notes
• Assessments or evaluations
• Parent-created documentation
Student Portfolio Examples:

A short written summary or essay describing your student’s educational opportunities, focus areas, and progress over the year.

Samples of student work, such as writing assignments, projects, lab reports, artwork, or completed curriculum units.

A report card or progress report from a private school or curriculum provider.

Assessment results, including standardized tests, reading level assessments, college readiness exams, or other nationally or state-recognized assessments.

A collection of learning artifacts, such as photos of projects, portfolios of coursework, or summaries of major learning milestones.
