Before submitting your offerings, review the guidelines for each state program you participate in to make sure they meet the applicable requirements.
Before submitting products or services to the Odyssey Marketplace, make sure your offerings meet the requirements below.
These guidelines help ensure families receive clear, accurate information and that offerings meet Marketplace standards.
Offering Title and Description
Each offering must have a clear title and detailed description so families understand what they're purchasing.
Titles should:
Clearly identify the product or service.
Include relevant details, such as subject, grade level, or duration.
Avoid vague names like "Tutoring" or "Dance."
For example, use "6-Week Middle School Math Tutoring" instead of "Tutoring."
Descriptions should include, when applicable:
Number of sessions, frequency, and duration.
Delivery format (in-person, virtual, or hybrid).
Scheduling details and location.
Materials or equipment included.
Product condition (new, used, or refurbished).
Instructor qualifications or certifications.
Tutor Requirements
Tutoring offerings must meet the requirements of the state program where they're listed.
Georgia
Include the tutor's name and current certification in the offering description.
Tutors may only offer services within the subjects and grade levels covered by their certification.
Offerings with expired or invalid certifications will be denied or removed.
Louisiana
A teaching certificate is not required.
The offering description must state whether the tutor is certified.
Iowa
Tutors may hold a valid teaching certification from any U.S. state.
Include the tutor's name and state of certification in the description.
Other state programs may have additional requirements.
Offering Images
Every product or service listing must include at least one image.
Images must accurately represent the offering.
Product or service photos are preferred, but company logos are acceptable.
Do not use images showing student faces or copyrighted materials.
Pricing
All offerings must be priced at fair market value.
Prices must be reasonable for the product or service.
Include shipping and materials costs in the listed price.
Additional shipping or materials charges cannot be added later.
Offerings with inflated or unreasonable prices may be denied.
Offering Type and Category
Each offering must be correctly identified as a Product or Service and assigned to the appropriate Marketplace category.
Category requirements vary by state:
Georgia, Louisiana, and Utah: One category per offering.
Iowa: One main category and up to two subcategories.
Incorrect or incomplete categories may delay approval.
Education Level, Age, and Grade
These optional fields help families find offerings that match their student's needs.
If provided, the education level, age range, and grade level must match the offering description.
