This article explains what each status means in the Odyssey Parent Portal.
Application Status
Your Application Status shows the current status of your student’s Odyssey application.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
Eligible | Your student qualifies for the program based on program guidelines. This does not mean they are approved or funded yet. Students in this status are currently on the waitlist. |
Approved - Awaiting Opt-In | Your student has been approved, but you must complete the opt-in process before funds can be received. |
Approved | Your student has completed the opt-in process and will receive funds. |
Approved - On Hold | Your student is approved, but account activity is temporarily paused while Odyssey reviews the account. |
Opted Out | You chose to leave the program for the rest of the program year. Any unused funds are returned to the state. |
Under Review | Odyssey is reviewing the application to determine eligibility. |
Ineligible | Your student does not qualify for the program based on current guidelines. |
Closed | The application was closed so a new application can be submitted or corrections can be made. This usually happens when there was an issue with the original application. |
Enrollment Status
Your Enrollment Status shows the status of your student’s enrollment request with their selected school or educational setting.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
Pending | The school still needs to review the enrollment request. If you selected Home-based Education, you may still see “Pending.” No action is needed. |
Verified | The school confirmed your student will enroll. The school must now enter tuition and fee amounts in the Odyssey School Portal. |
Confirmed | The school submitted tuition and fee amounts, and you confirmed them in the portal. |
Denied | The school confirmed your student will not enroll there. You must choose a different educational setting. |
Closed | The selected school is no longer available in Odyssey. A new educational setting must be selected. |
IMPORTANT: Choosing a school in the Odyssey platform does not officially enroll your child in that school. You must still contact the school directly and complete their enrollment process.
Tuition Status
Your Tuition Status shows the status of the annual tuition and fee amounts submitted by the school.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
Confirmed | You approved the tuition and fee amounts submitted by the school. |
Denied | You did not approve the tuition and fee amounts. The school must update and resubmit them. |
IMPORTANT: You must confirm tuition and fee amounts before scholarship funds can be used. This is separate from making tuition payments.
