Dear UFA Parents,
As we near the end of the program year we want to remind parents about some upcoming deadlines.
Application Deadlines:
The new student application deadline is May 1st. If you are a returning parent seeking to add a student, or a new parent in the process of applying, please keep in mind that there are two weeks remaining to submit your application.
The returning student application deadline is May 31st. If you have not already done so, please log on to your student dashboard and complete the application to submit your student’s portfolio/assessment.
School Deadlines:
The school application will open on May 1st and close on June 1st. If your student attends a currently approved UFA school they have access to the application now. If you plan to attend a school that did not participate last year the school will need to submit their application to Odyssey. School applications must be submitted by a representative from the school, parents cannot apply on a school’s behalf. Requirements for approved schools can be found in the UFA 26/27 Approved Private School Policy.
The school selection dropdown will appear in the student dashboard on April 17th. Schools will appear in the drop down as they are approved. All approved schools will be listed in the dashboard by June 12th.
School selection is necessary for determining funding amounts. School selection is due on June 15th. Any students who have not selected a school on June 15th will be funded with the homeschool amount based on the student’s age.
Program Deadlines:
As stated in our Reimbursement Policy, the last day to submit reimbursements for program year 2025-2026 will be May 31st. The marketplace and tuition portal will be available until June 30th. June 30th is also the final day to spend any 2025-2026 funds. Any unspent funds will be rolled over at a 2 to 3 rate (with a cap of $2,000) if the student is returning, or returned to the program if the student does not return.
Award notifications will begin being issued on June 16th. Parents will have until June 30th to opt in to the program. Keep in mind that before opting in your student cannot be enrolled in an LEA or participating in either of the Carson Smith Scholarship programs.
When funding is issued in July parents will be able to submit reimbursements for any spending that occurred between July 1st and the funding date, along with any tuition payments made before July 1st for the 2026-2027 school year.
