We would like to share some information that was announced on Wednesday to a group of parents at a Utah Fits All (UFA) Q&A.
Returning Student’s Remaining 2024 - 2025 Balance:
Odyssey will allow returning students to access 100% of the remainder of 2024-2025 parent funds from August 21st to October 21st. This will make up for the few weeks lost as a result of the program’s transition. After October 21st, Odyssey will apply the standard rollover cap of 66% (up to $2,000), as outlined in statute. Student accounts who need to roll over may experience delays or pauses to facilitate the transition of funds on and after October 21st. Funds will be withdrawn from the previous year's balance before this year's balance. After the rollover the funds will mix. These dates may be subject to change in order to facilitate proper transition of funds and clean auditable data.
Reimbursements:
The portal will open August 21st to returning and newly awarded students. The portal can only be accessed after the student has opted in. Returning students can submit reimbursements dated as far back as January 1st, 2025. Retroactive reimbursements will be evaluated individually and under Odyssey standards. Odyssey cannot honor preapprovals or agreements from the previous provider. New students can submit reimbursements dated back to July 1st, 2025. New students cannot spend UFA funds for a time outside of the scholarships yearly window.
Our reimbursement policy can be found here with these key updates:
- Reimbursements will be halted on May 31st, 2026 to allow all reimbursements to be processed and scholarship amounts to be finalized before the roll over.
- 2025-2026 UFA funds cannot be spent for services that occur after the scholarship year, June 30th, 2026.
- Reimbursements will take up to four weeks to process.
- Parents may not split one item between two or more scholarship students funds.
-
Odyssey will not accept invoices or hand written notes as proof of purchase.
Home-based scholarship student classes and curriculum:
If your individual class or curriculum provider of choice did not qualify to be an approved school the student may still use UFA funds for those services. The provider can either upload offerings to the marketplace so that they can be paid directly or the parent of the student can submit for reimbursement.
UFA Application:
If you have yet to submit your 2025 - 2026 application you can do so through this link. The application will close on August 15th, at 12:00pm MT. School selections must be completed by August 17th.
