Selecting a School
You can select your student's school in the Odyssey portal at any time. Simply search for and select the school your student plans to attend for the 2026–27 school year.
Selecting a school in the Odyssey portal does not mean your student is enrolled at that school. Enrollment is a separate process handled directly between your family and the school.
A newly accredited school for the 2026–27 school year may not appear right away in the school list. Check with your school directly to confirm their participation in the program.
Attendance Requirements
Students must attend their selected Iowa-accredited nonpublic school to remain eligible for ESA funds. If a student does not attend:
- ESA funds must be returned by the school for the semester in which the student did not attend
- The student will be determined ineligible for ESA funds for that semester
ESA ineligibility does not remove any financial obligations a family has entered into directly with a nonpublic school or other vendor.
