As we get closer to our application window opening up on July 31st we would like to share some programmatic updates.
Updates:
Approved Schools: We’re excited to bring you the latest update on schools that have joined the Odyssey platform as part of the Utah Fits All (UFA) Scholarship Program. The list can be found here on our FAQ page. This list will continue to grow and will be updated regularly. If you do not see your student’s school on our list it is likely that they are either still pending in the application process or have not applied. Please contact your school administrator if you have concerns about whether or not your students' school has been approved. Odyssey cannot accept an application for a school on behalf of a parent.
Marketplace Providers v. Approved Schools: Please note that an approved school is not the same as being an approved provider on the marketplace. A participating school must be a full-time, tuition-bearing educational institution where the student receives the majority of their academic instruction. These schools must also meet the requirements stated here and must complete registration on the Odyssey platform. Approved schools will be able to confirm student enrollment and receive tuition payments through the Odyssey Platform. Meanwhile, marketplace providers will be able to offer approved products or services through the Odyssey Marketplace. There are many institutions that provide curriculum, online instruction, and individual classes that may not meet the requirements to be a school on our platform but are perfectly suited for the marketplace. These providers can offer individualized services or bundled packages of curriculum. An approved school may also sign up as a provider to offer non-tuition related services.
Webinar: To help families better understand the program and platform, Odyssey will be posting a webinar with more detailed guidance on the UFA program, application steps, and how the platform works. We’ll share event details soon, so please keep an eye out for that announcement. We will also be releasing a step-by-step guide to walk parents through the application prior to launch.
