⚠️Important: The statuses available to you may vary by program. Visit your program's Help Center collection for requirements or next steps specific to your program.
Program Status
Your student's program status shows where they are in the application and participation process.
Status | What does the status mean? |
Eligible | The student qualifies for the program based on the applicable guidelines. Eligibility does not necessarily mean the student has been approved or funded. |
Approved - Awaiting Opt-In | The student has been approved and must complete the opt-in process before participating in the program. |
Approved | The student has completed the required approval and opt-in steps for their program. |
Approved - On Hold | The student is approved, but use of program funds is temporarily paused while additional information is reviewed. |
Opted Out | The student has opted out of the program. Refer to your program's guidance for information about how opting out affects participation and unused funds. |
Under Review | The application is being reviewed to determine whether the student qualifies for the program. |
Ineligible | The student does not qualify for the program based on the applicable guidelines. |
Closed | The application or account was closed. In some cases, this allows the parent or guardian to correct information and submit a new application. |
Enrollment Status
Your student's enrollment status reflects the status of their enrollment request for the educational setting selected in Odyssey.
Status | What does the status mean? |
Pending | The enrollment request is waiting for review or the next required step. For school-based enrollments, the school may need to review the request and confirm whether the student will be enrolling. |
Verified | The school has verified that the student will be enrolling. The school can then complete the applicable tuition and fee information in the Odyssey School Portal. |
Confirmed | The school has verified the enrollment, and the parent or guardian has confirmed the applicable annual tuition and fee amounts. |
Denied | The school has reviewed the enrollment request and indicated that the student will not be enrolling. The parent or guardian may need to select a different educational setting. |
Withdrew | The school has confirmed that the student withdrew. The parent or guardian may need to select a new educational setting or complete another action required by their program. |
Did Not Attend | The school has confirmed that the student did not attend. The parent or guardian may need to select a new educational setting or complete another action required by their program. |
Closed | The selected school is no longer available on the Odyssey platform. A new educational setting may need to be selected. |
Selecting a School Is Not the Same as Enrolling
Selecting a school in Odyssey does not enroll your student at that school.
School admission and enrollment are handled separately. Contact your selected school directly and complete its required admissions and enrollment process.
Tuition Status
Your student's tuition status shows where their annual tuition and fees are in the confirmation process.
Status | What does the status mean? |
Review tuition & fees | The school has verified the enrollment and entered the student's annual tuition and fees. The parent or guardian must review the amount and confirm whether it is correct. |
Confirmed | The parent or guardian has reviewed and confirmed the annual tuition and fee amounts entered by the school. |
Denied | The parent or guardian did not confirm the tuition and fee amounts entered by the school. The school must update the amount and resubmit it for review. |
Important: Confirming tuition is not the same as paying tuition.
Confirming the annual tuition and fee amount tells Odyssey that the information entered by the school is correct.
It does not send a tuition payment.
If your program uses Odyssey for tuition payments, you will need to complete the applicable payment steps separately.
For more information about the Parent Portal, wallet, and tuition payment process, see Using Your Odyssey Dashboard, Wallet, and Tuition Payments.
Don't Recognize a Status?
Some programs may use additional statuses or have different requirements for what happens after a particular status appears.
If you see a status that isn't listed here, or you're unsure what action to take, visit your program's Help Center collection for more information.
