How Families Confirm Tuition and Fees for TEFA

Learn how parents and guardians can review and confirm the tuition and fees entered by their student's school for the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) Program.

After a TEFA-Approved Nonpublic School confirms your student's enrollment, the school can enter the student's tuition and fees for the school year.

As the parent or guardian, you must review the amount in your Odyssey account and either confirm or deny it.

You can review tuition and fees from your:

  • Dashboard

  • Student Profile

Before You Begin

The tuition confirmation option will be available after:

  • Your student's school confirms the enrollment request.

  • The school enters the tuition and fee amount.

  • The amount becomes available in your Odyssey account.

Confirm Tuition From Your Dashboard

  1. Log in to your Odyssey parent account.

  2. Locate the student whose tuition and fees you need to review.

  3. Select Confirm Tuition.

  4. Review the tuition and fee amount entered by the school.

  5. Select:

    • Confirm if the amount is correct.

    • Deny if the amount is incorrect.

If you select Deny, the school can revise the tuition and fee amount.

Confirm Tuition From the Student Profile

You can also review tuition and fees from your student's profile.

  1. Log in to your Odyssey parent account.

  2. Select Student Profiles.

  3. Select the student whose tuition and fees you need to review.

  4. Scroll to Review Tuition & Fees.

  5. Review the amount entered by the school.

  6. Select:

    • Confirm if the amount is correct.

    • Deny if the amount is incorrect.

If you select Deny, the school can revise the tuition and fee amount.

What Happens After You Confirm?

Confirming the tuition and fee amount does not automatically send a payment to the school.

If your student has received TEFA funds, you can choose how to use available funds, including making tuition payments or eligible Marketplace purchases.

If you have more than one student, repeat the confirmation process for each student as needed.

Funding Reminder

An Eligible application status does not guarantee final approval or funding.

Final approval and award amounts depend on the availability of state funds and the TEFA Program's funding priorities.
