This article explains what each status means in your Odyssey Parent Portal, including application, enrollment, and tuition statuses.
Important: The statuses shown in your Odyssey Parent Portal may vary depending on your state's scholarship program. Some statuses or steps may not apply to your program.
Application Status
Your Application Status shows where your student's application is in the review and approval process.
| Status | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Eligible | Your student meets the program's eligibility requirements but has not yet been approved or funded. Students with this status are currently on the waitlist. |
| Approved – Awaiting Opt-In | Your student has been approved, but you must complete the opt-in process before receiving funds. |
| Approved | Your student has completed the opt-in process and will receive funds. |
| Approved – On Hold | Your student is approved, but account activity is temporarily paused while Odyssey reviews the account. |
| Opted Out | You chose to leave the program for the rest of the program year. Any unused funds are returned to the state. |
| Under Review | Odyssey is reviewing your student's application to determine eligibility. |
| Ineligible | Your student does not qualify based on current program guidelines. |
| Closed | The application was closed so a new application can be submitted or corrections can be made. |
Enrollment Status
Your Enrollment Status shows where your student's enrollment request stands with their selected school or educational setting.
| Status | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Pending | The school still needs to review the enrollment request. If you selected Home-based Education, you may still see this status. No action is needed. |
| Verified | The school confirmed your student's enrollment and must enter tuition and fees in the Odyssey School Portal. |
| Confirmed | The school submitted tuition and fees, and you confirmed the amounts in your portal. |
| Denied | The school confirmed your student will not enroll there. You must select another educational setting. |
| Closed | The selected school is no longer available in Odyssey. You must select another educational setting. |
Important: Selecting a school in Odyssey does not officially enroll your child. You must contact the school directly to complete enrollment.
Tuition Status
Your Tuition Status shows whether you have confirmed the tuition and fee amounts submitted by your student's school.
| Status | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | You approved the tuition and fee amounts submitted by the school. |
| Denied | You did not approve the tuition and fee amounts. The school must update and resubmit them. |
You must confirm tuition and fees before scholarship funds can be used for tuition payments. This is separate from making tuition payments.
