This article is intended to help vendors understand how to upload products or services to the Odyssey platform.
How to Upload Offerings to the Odyssey Marketplace
Approved vendors can upload products and services directly to the Odyssey Marketplace for review and approval. This guide walks you through each step to ensure your listings meet program requirements and are visible to families as quickly as possible. For information on Bulk Uploads, see our article: How to Upload Multiple Offerings at Once (Bulk Upload Guide).
1. Start a New Offering
From your Vendor Dashboard, go to the Offerings tab and select New Offer.
You’ll be directed to the submission page, where you’ll enter all details for your product or service.
Key Fields:
Type of Marketplace Offering: Choose Service or Product
Marketplace Offering Name: Write a short, descriptive title that clearly tells parents what you offer.
Example: “8th Grade Math Tutoring – 6 Week Bundle (2 sessions per week).”
Avoid vague titles or tuition-based wording (“tuition,” “fees,” etc.), as these will be denied.
2. Add Product or Service Details
Item SKU
Each offering needs a unique identifier (SKU).
You can use any combination of letters or numbers, such as “MATH8” or “TUT-01.”
Product URL (Optional)
If you sell a product that is also displayed on another website, you can include the external link.
Parents must still complete their purchase through the Odyssey Marketplace.
Marketplace Category
Select the category that best matches your offering, such as Tutoring, Therapy, Educational Supplies, or Music Lessons.
Refer to your state’s handbook if you’re unsure which category to choose.
3. Enter Offering Description and Details
Your description should help parents understand exactly what is included.
For example:
“Build math confidence with our 6-week tutoring program for grades 6–8. Led by Georgia PSC-certified teacher Jane Doe, students receive two 1-hour sessions per week covering key math skills like pre-algebra, geometry, and problem-solving. In-person sessions at our Marietta, Georgia location. All materials included.”
Include:
Format: In-person or virtual
Location: City or branch location (for in-person services)
Frequency and Duration: How often and how long each session lasts
Materials Needed: List any supplies parents must bring
Prerequisites: If applicable (e.g., “must complete Level 1 Art before enrolling in Level 2”)
4. Add Credentials and Eligibility
If your offering requires professional qualifications, list them here.
For example:
“Instructor: Jane Doe, Certified in K–12 Mathematics.”
Tutoring and therapy services must include valid state-specific certifications or licenses that match the subject area.
5. Select Grade and Age Range
Choose the minimum and maximum grade level and age range appropriate for your service or product.
Be sure your listing aligns with your certification and the program’s approved eligibility criteria.
6. Set Price and Stock Quantity
Price
Enter your total price, including any shipping or material costs.
For example:
$600 for 6 weeks of tutoring (two 1-hour sessions per week)
Shipping costs for products must be built into the price, as the system does not calculate shipping separately.
Stock Quantity
Set your stock quantity high enough to ensure your offering remains visible.
If your quantity is set to zero, it will not appear in the Marketplace.
7. Upload Images and Media
Each offering must include at least one image.
You may upload up to three images and optionally embed a video (YouTube or Vimeo) to showcase your product or service.
Acceptable images include:
Company logo
Product photo
Classroom or learning environment
Image suggestions:
Use JPG or PNG files that are at least 1200 × 800 pixels.
For square images, use 1200 × 1200 pixels so the 400-pixel-tall product viewer stays sharp.
Keep image files under 5 MB for faster loading.
8. Submit for Review
When you’re done, click Submit.
Your offering will move into the Review Queue for approval by Odyssey and, in some cases, the state partner.
Once approved, it will appear in the Marketplace for parents to view and purchase using their scholarship funds.
9. Check Submission Status
You can monitor your offering’s review status directly in your Vendor Dashboard.
If it has been several days without an update, you’re welcome to email vendors@withodyssey.com for assistance.
