This is for approved vendors who are uploading offerings. This outlines the specific details needed in order to be approved for visibility on the Odyssey Marketplace.
Clear Title
- The title should clearly describe the product or service.
- Example: Instead of just "Dance," use "Dance Classes (1-Month Package)."
- Example: Instead of just "Laptop," use "2023 MacBook Air Laptop."
Detailed Description
- Descriptions should be clear and detailed so parents understand what they are purchasing.
- Services must specify the number of sessions, duration, and other relevant details.
- Example: "This offering includes 1 month of dance classes. The class meets once a week on Mondays at 5 PM for 2 hours, totaling 4 classes."
Valid Image
- Each product or service must include a valid image.
- Logos are acceptable, but actual images are preferred, especially for products.
- Offerings with broken image links will not be approved. Vendors should re-upload, or escalate to tech support if issues persist.
Reasonable Pricing
- Prices should align with market value.
- Example: AirPods listed at $600 when they retail for $100-$200 will be flagged.
Categories and Type
Each offering must be classified as either a Product or a Service. This selection is required and must be accurate prior to approval.
Categories:
- For Iowa Marketplace offerings: Each item or service must include one main category and up to two subcategories.
- For all other Marketplaces: Only one category can be selected per offering.
All category and type selections must be accurate before approval. If needed, updates can be made by either Odyssey or the vendor.
Education Level / Age / Grade
- These fields are optional but should align with the offering details if included.
- Example: A high school dance class should not be categorized as "Elementary."
