If your family is in Louisiana due to an active military order, but you do not have a Louisiana State ID or a Louisiana Driver’s License, you can still meet the residency criteria by following these steps:
Step 1: Gather Required Documents
To establish residency, you will need:
- Active duty order placing you in the state of Louisiana
- Two (2) proofs of address in Louisiana as established here
- 1040 Tax Form
Step 2: Upload Military Orders
- During the application, you'll be asked whether you or your spouse is currently an active duty member of the United States Armed Forces stationed in Louisiana. If yes, you'll be given an option to upload the current active duty orders, placing your household in the state of Louisiana.
