Odyssey funds waitlist families based on when they're approved for the program. Your award amount depends on the quarter you receive funding.
Award Percentages
Families funded in Quarter 2 receive 75% of the annual award.
Families funded in Quarter 3 receive 50% of the annual award.
Understanding Your Portal
Your portal shows your award status for the entire year.
If you receive funding in Q2, disregard the Q1 Pending status, as Q1 is not covered in this case.
If you receive funding in Q3, disregard the Q1 and Q2 Pending status, as Q1 and Q2 are not covered in this case.
Q3 Funding Example
In this example, the award funding ($7,626) is the total award amount the student could've received in the 25-26 year had they been approved since the beginning of the year. If the student reapplies and qualifies for the 26-27 program year, they may be eligible to receive this full amount.
A student from the waitlist who is approved and receives funding in Q3, would receive 50% of the $7,626 for 25-26, or $3,813. They should disregard the Q1 and Q2 pending statuses and focus on the Q3 and Q4 statuses, as those are the quarters they qualify for.
