This article is intended for families interested in applying for the Georgia Promise Scholarship.
A student who has been enrolled in a Georgia public school for two consecutive semesters, OR is a rising kindergarten student, AND:
- Resides in a Georgia public school attendance zone on the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement’s list of the 25% lower-performing public schools. (If you reside in the attendance zone of at least one school, you meet the attendance zone eligibility requirement.) It is not based upon the public school the student attends.
- The parent has resided in Georgia for 1+ year (with the exception of active-duty military) per the Georgia Education Savings Authority’s updated regulations approach.
