This article is intended to help schools understand the eligibility requirements for participating in the MOScholars Program and joining the school platform.
Eligible School Types
The following school types may qualify to participate in the MOScholars Program:

Program Requirements
Charter Schools, Private Schools, Public Schools, and Virtual Schools
All school types must:
- Be incorporated in Missouri.
- Not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin.
- Provide the following during the school registration:
- Tuition Disclosure
- Articles of Incorporation in Missouri (if applicable)
- Proof of accreditation (if applicable)
Virtual Schools
Virtual schools may be subject to additional Missouri location requirements.
Homeschools
Homeschools must meet applicable MOScholars requirements.
School Approval Process
Meeting the eligibility requirements does not automatically approve a school for participation.
Before a school may participate in the MOScholars Program:
✓ The school must meet all applicable eligibility requirements.
✓ The school must be reviewed by the Educational Assistance Organization (EAO).
✓ The school must receive approval from the EAO.
✓ The school may need to provide additional information if requested during the review process.
✓ Approval must be completed before the school can participate in the MOScholars Program.
