This article is intended for parents applying to the TEFA program who need to upload IEP information
Adding an IEP
If you have an IEP on file with Texas Education Agency (TEA) for either the 2023-2024, 2024-2025, 2026-2026, or upcoming school year, you may be eligible to receive additional funding.
If this situation is applicable to your child, you will be prompted to input a Texas Unique Student Identifier, or UID, at the bottom of the student application page. This UID will be used to validate your child's IEP with TEA directly.
No document uploads are necessary for this process.
In the event your child does not have an IEP on file with TEA for the 2023-2024 school year or more recently, you will be prompted to upload either a Disability Certification Form, FIIE, out-of-state IEP, or expired Texas IEP in order to validate your child's qualifying disability. This may make your child eligible for increased priority, but will not receive additional funding.
