How to Upload Products or Services onto the LA GATOR Marketplace

This article is intended to help Louisiana vendors and service providers understand how to upload products or services onto the LA GATOR Scholarship Program's Odyssey Marketplace.


To begin uploading products or service offerings, you must log into your approved Odyssey Vendor Account. Once there, make sure the Bank Account is set up. If it isn't click [Payment Setup] and follow the steps to connect your bank account to Stripe, our payment processor. 


After that is complete, click [Add Products] or [Offerings] to begin the upload process. 



When clicking [Add Products] you will be able to begin individual uploads. When clicking [Offerings] you will be able to see the statuses for all your offerings and will have the option to upload offerings individually or in bulk with a CSV.  




Individual Offering Uploads 

  1. To begin uploading individual offerings, click [Add Offer]. You will be taken to the Offerings Submission Page where you must provide the information for your product or service. Please note that all offerings will be evaluated by the Marketplace Team to determine if they align with the LA GATOR Guidelines. 

     
  2. Select the type of Marketplace Offering by clicking on the dropdown and selecting the best fit.
  3. Fill out the necessary information
    1. The Marketplace Offering Name will be visible in the Marketplace so ensure it aligns with the product or service you're offering. Please note, for services such as Math Tutoring Sessions, we encourage providers to create multiple offerings or to create bundles. For example, you can have one offering for an hour session or you can have an offering for a bundle of 8-hour sessions through the course of a month. 
    2. The item SKU or the service SKU is a unique identifier for the specific offering. This must be created by you and your team to help track the products or services. 
    3. The external site URL should be a link to your website. This will be visible on the Marketplace for parents to learn more about your business and product or service. 
  4. Select the Category that best fits your offering by clicking on the dropdown and scrolling or typing the name. If there is no category related to your offer, this means your product or service does not qualify as an eligible expense for the LA GATOR Marketplace.
  5. For products, provide the fulfillment center address. For services, provide the address for where the service will take place. If it's the same as your business address, check the box next to [Same as Business Address]. If it's different, make sure the box is unchecked and type in the correct address.
  6. Provide details about your Offering. 
    1. The Marketplace description is an essential part of the offering submission. Please ensure the description is robust as this will be used by parents when making a decision on purchasing your product or service. 
    2. For the Minimum/Maximum Grade Levels and Minimum/Maximum Age Range click on the dropdown to select the option that best fits your offering. These sections are optional but will help with filtering and visibility in the Marketplace.
  7. For the price information section, you will be asked if the product is variable. A variable product means that you have different options of the same item. For example, a tablet that comes in pink and blue. If that were the case, click on the box next to [Is this product variable?].
    1. If you check the box, the offering submission page will be customized to allow you to input information about your variants.
      1. The Variant SKU is the specific identifier for that variant. All variants will have the same Item SKU, but the Variant SKU will differ. 
      2. You can add as many variants as you want by clicking [Add]. 
    2. If you do not check the box, you will continue to upload the price for your offering and its stock quantity.
      1. Since services do not have stock, please fill the [Stock Quantity] section with the number of spaces you have available in your classes or tutoring sessions, or the amount of classes/sessions you're willing to give. 
  8. For the last step, you must provide branding information. This will help your offering look attractive in the Marketplace.
    1. You can include a URL to a video that shows your offering. This is optional. 
    2. The Image Upload is Mandatory as all offerings on the Marketplace must have a picture to identify it. If you have a product, please make sure that the picture properly matches. For example, if it's a pink iPad, make sure the picture is for a pink iPad; if you're selling a guitar, make sure the picture only shows 1 guitar. 
      1. To upload a picture, click on the upload box.
      2. Select your image(s). 
      3. Click [Open]
  9. Once all your information is ready, click [Submit].
  10. You'll be able to see the new offering in the [Pending] Section of your Offerings Page. Our team will be reviewing all offerings to ensure they align with the LA GATOR guidelines. Please keep an eye on your account for further status updates.

 

Bulk Offering Uploads

  1. Click on [Download CSV Template]. (Please note that if your product will have Variants, you must download and upload the regular CSV before uploading the Variants CSV).
  2. Replace the information in the sample CSV with the information for your products or services. 
    1. The required information is the same as in the Individual Offerings Upload. Please review steps 2-4 and 6-8 for more information on the categories. 
    2. In the [Is_Variable] section, please note that 0 means that there are no variants, while 1 means that there are variants. If you have a variant, you must upload a variant CSV to provide the price information for your variants. 
    3. To add more than one picture, click on the cell with the picture URL and add a [;] next to the last link. Then, add your second picture URL. 
  3. Save it as a .csv file. 
  4. Click [Upload CSV]. 
    1. Click [Add File].
    2. Select your file. 
    3. Click [Open]. 
    4. Click [Upload CSV].
  5.  You'll be able to see the new offering in the [Pending] Section of your Offerings Page. Our team will be reviewing all offerings to ensure they align with the LA GATOR guidelines. Please keep an eye on your account for further status updates. 
  6. If you have variants, click on [Download Variants CSV Template].
  7. Replace the information in the sample CSV with the information of your variants.

  8. Save it as a .csv file. 
  9. Click [Upload CSV]. 
    1. Click [Add File].
    2. Select your file. 
    3. Click [Open]. 
    4. Click [Upload CSV]. 
  10.  You'll be able to see the variants in the [Pending] Section of your Offerings Page. Our team will be reviewing all offerings to ensure they align with the LA GATOR guidelines. Please keep an eye on your account for further status updates.
