Acceptable Residency Documents
Most families must provide two approved residency documents.
Active Duty Military families may provide one residency document along with Active Duty military orders showing they are stationed in Florida.
Accepted residency documents include:
- Automobile insurance statement
- Florida driver’s license or state-issued ID
- Health insurance statement
- Homeless verification or certificate
- Homeowners or renters insurance policy
- Homestead or property tax statement/assessment
- Leave and Earnings Statement (LES)
- Migrant address verification letter
- Mortgage acceptance letter
- Mortgage statement
- Residential lease agreement
- Paystub
- Proof of current government benefits:
- Social Security
- Veterans Affairs
- Disability
- Medicare
- Section 8/HUD
- TANF
- SNAP
- DCF correspondence
- Property deed
- Residential internet bill
- Utility bill (electric, gas, or water) dated within the last 60 days
Acceptable Disability Documents
Families applying for FES-UA must provide documentation showing the student has a qualifying disability.
Accepted disability documents include:
- Florida Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Out-of-state Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Documentation showing a diagnosis from a qualified professional
Acceptable Active Duty Military Documents
Active Duty Military families must provide:
- Active Duty military orders
- Documentation showing the service member is stationed in Florida
These families may submit one residency document instead of two.
