The Utah Private Course Choice Empowerment (CCE) Program is a state-funded initiative that gives eligible private school students access to high-quality online courses for grades 6 through 12. The program is administered by Odyssey on behalf of the Utah State Board of Education.
Through the CCE Program, students can enroll in online courses from approved providers — including both fully online and blended learning formats that combine in-person and digital instruction. Courses are designed to be flexible, allowing students to learn at their own pace and on their own schedule.
The program aims to:
- Expand access to online learning options regardless of where a student attends school
- Provide digital learning options regardless of language, residence, family income, or special needs
- Allow high-achieving students to accelerate academically, while students who need more time have the flexibility to gain competency at their own pace
- Help students customize their schedule to better meet their academic goals
- Prepare students for post-secondary education and career opportunities
Eligible students may enroll in up to 6 credits of online courses per school year. If a student is also a Utah Fits All (UFA) scholarship recipient, the credit limit is 4 credits per school year.
