Do foster families have different requirements?
No. Students in foster care or out-of-home care are must still meet the basic eligibility requirements for both the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO) and the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA).
To complete your application, you'll still need to submit the required documentation for either program.
The Florida Department of Education uses this information to help determine priority funding for students in foster care or Out-Of-Home Care.
