To ensure your offering is approved quickly and aligns with our program standards, please follow the format below when submitting your description. Each section helps families understand what you’re teaching and how it benefits their children.
1. Title of Offering
Keep it clear, short, and descriptive.
Include the subject and the appropriate age range.
Example:
Creative Coding for Kids (Ages 8–12)
2. Class Frequency
State how often your class meets and how many sessions are included.
Example:
Classes meet twice per week for 4 weeks (total of 8 classes).
3. Class Duration
Mention the length of each session.
Example:
Each class is 45 minutes long.
4. Class Type
Select one of the following and provide any necessary details:
- Virtual (Live via Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
- In-person (Include full city and state)
Examples:
- This is a virtual class conducted via Zoom.
- This is an in-person class held in Oakland, CA.
5. Age Range
Your offering must be for students aged 5–18 only.
Do not include age ranges outside this limit.
Example:
For students ages 10–13.
6. Skills Taught (Be Specific and Program-Aligned)
Clearly list measurable, specific skills.
Avoid general phrases like “have fun” unless directly tied to a skill or outcome.
Make sure your learning goals match our educational standards.
Examples:
Students will:
- Learn the basics of block-based coding using Scratch.
- Create simple animations and interactive games.
- Understand core programming concepts such as loops, conditionals, and events.
Final Sample Description
Creative Coding for Kids (Ages 8–12)
