This article is intended to provide clarity to Louisiana schools on the meaning of the Closed status.
When parents request enrollment at your school, you will see two different statuses for each student: Application Status and Enrollment Status.

- Application Status reflects the status of the student's application. A "Closed" status typically means that we had to close the account so the parent could reapply—this usually happens when an error was made during the initial application.
- Enrollment Status indicates the student's enrollment request with your school. A "Closed" enrollment request means the student has switched to a different school.
You should focus on reviewing students with a Pending Enrollment Status and an Eligible or Under Review Application Status. Once you approve an enrollment request, it will move to Verified; if you deny it, it will move to Denied.
Please note that an Ineligible Application Status means that the student does not qualify for the LA GATOR Scholarship Program, so you do not need to review enrollment requests for students with this status.
